Β Well, I did it. I actually published a book.
I don't think those words have fully sunk in yet.
After months of writing, rewriting, editing, second-guessing myself, and staring at the same sentences until they stopped looking like actual English, The One Who Listened is officially out in the world!
And honestly? I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.
From a Blank Page to a Published Novel
When I first started writing Elias and Celeste's story, I had no idea just how much work went into bringing a book to life.
I knew writing a novel wouldn't be easy. What I didn't know was that finishing the manuscript would only be the beginning.
There were countless hours of editing, feedback from beta readers, formatting decisions, cover designs, and more than a few moments when I questioned my own sanity.
Let's not even talk about the number of times I reread the same chapter.
Or the emotional roller coaster that is preparing a book for publication.
But somewhere between all the late nights, endless revisions, and cups of coffee, something incredible happened.
The story that once existed only in my imagination became a real book.
My book.
And I couldn't be prouder.
Meet Elias and Celeste
At the heart of The One Who Listened is a story about two people who never expected to find what they needed in each other.
Celeste Graves is a single mother trying to rebuild her life while protecting the three people who matter most to her.
Elias Vane is a powerful cybersecurity CEO with secrets, questionable morals, and a very particular definition of protection.
Their connection begins behind a screen.
But when the lines between the digital world and reality begin to blur, everything changes.
It's dark romance with psychological suspense, morally gray characters, obsession, danger, and found family.
And, of course, Raven Division.
Because apparently I couldn't write one morally gray man without giving him an entire team of equally complicated men. π

To Everyone Who Helped Me Get Here
I couldn't write this post without saying thank you.
To my beta readers, thank you for taking a chance on an unpublished author, spending time with my characters, and giving me your honest feedback. You helped make this story better, and I'll always appreciate that.
To my friends who encouraged me, listened to my endless rambling about fictional people, and supported me through this entire process, thank you.
And to everyone who has followed my author journey, whether through TikTok, my website, or simply cheering me on from the sidelines, your support has meant more than you know.
Every comment, share, encouraging message, and book purchase matters.
Especially when you're an indie author trying to find your place in a world filled with incredible books.
So... What Happens Next?
You didn't think I was going to stop at one book, did you?
If you've been following my previous blog posts, you already know Raven Division has a habit of making themselves a little too comfortable in my imagination.
Let's just say those men aren't finished causing problems.
But for now, I'm going to enjoy this moment.
Because I wrote a book.
I edited that book.
I published that book.
And somewhere out there, people are actually reading it.
That's a pretty incredible feeling.
The One Who Listened is officially available, and I can't wait for you to meet Elias, Celeste, and the Ravens.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
And if you decide to visit Hollow Grove, just remember...
Someone is always listening.
With love and a little darkness,
Auren Rose π€Β
